On Sunday, January 8th, Flight DL5175, out of Manchester NH, was booked to fly out to Cleveland OH. The flight was delayed due to mechanical issues (Cargo Door). Because of that delay, I missed my connection. I was given no other options by Delta to get to my final destination that evening. I was left to my own devices to get to my final destination.
That meant I had to rent a car at 10:30 PM, and got to Cleveland at 1:30 AM. With that delay, I missed a very important evening reception being held on January 8th.
I was put in a situation that as you can imagine, threw my business trip into a tailspin.
Additionally, my flight back to Manchester on January 21, Flight DL3460 was delayed for approximately 2 hours, due to fog. We were told that we would make our connection because those flights in Detroit were delayed as well due to fog. They were wrong, I missed my connection coming home. So I waited in that airport in Detroit until DL5344 was ready to go, 9 hours later. It was a miserable experience altogether.
My wife travels Delta exclusively (Platinum – just missed next level in 2016 by a hair), and now that I have taken on a position where travel will be necessary, she convinced me to fly Delta. I hope you can convince me that this airline is the way to fly as well.

Flew on Delta to Washington DC on May 12, 2016. Request for a cup of warm water for my child was ignored. Food that was being served was substandard. What has happened to Delta? I hope Delta is not losing the competition to others.
