    I ordered a Qantas cash card some ago . I rang 1300 825 302 which took 10 minutes to answer only to be told they would have to transfer me to another department to track down if the card had been sent . Forty five later ,YES FORTY FIVE MINUTES LATER OUT OF SHEER FRUSTRATION I HUNG UP. DISCUSTING SERVICE AND I REFUSED TO TREATED IN THIS MANNER .PUT IN MORE LINES AND HIRE ADDITIONAL STAFF . YOUR COMPETITORS DONT TAKE AS LONG TO RESPOND .

    In 2015 I was diagnosed with colon cancer which required surgery and 12 rounds of chemotherapy, ending in December 2015. In May 2016, I had a 6-month follow-up CT scan, which was clear, with no signs of cancer.

    In celebration I purchased a two-week cruise on the MS Paul Gauguin, sailing out of Papeete, Tahiti, with a pre-cruise stay at an over-the-water bungalow in Bora Bora for 3 days and a post-cruise stay in Moorea for 2 days. I also purchased round trip airfare from Los Angeles to Papeete from Qantas Airlines and round trip airfare from Papeete to Bora Bora from Air Tahiti.

    In December 2016 I received some bad news, following another CT scan. The cancer has returned, requiring surgery, chemotherapy and extended hospital stay and recovery, commencing in the next few weeks.

    Knowing full well that the entire trip was non-refundable, I decided to gift the entire trip to my younger brother and his wife. The two-week cruise aboard the MS Paul Gauguin was transferred to my brother at no charge. The 3-day stay at Sofitel Bora Bora was transferred to my brother at no charge. The 2-day stay at Tipaniers in Moorea was refunded at no charge. The round trip airfare from Papeete to Bora Bora was transferred to my brother at a nominal fee.

    With regard to the round trip airfare, purchased from Qantas Airlines, for transportation from Los Angeles to Papeete was also non-refundable and they would not transfer the tickets to my brother. The tickets were fully paid and seats assigned and Qantas refused to transfer this trip. My misfortune is a monetary gain for Qantas and I will never book another trip with Qantas and would strongly suggest that no one should ever do business with Qantas.
