  1. Last minute cancellation of a flight left my daughter with accommodation/ transfer bills and the notification was by email only!!!! There was no offer of another flight. She is a young adult travelling alone and from Australia. You can imagine how distressing this is. She now has a 7 hour flight 3 days later with a change of plane just to get to Athens from London. She has to miss one Greek Island completely in order to continue with the rest of her fully planned holiday.
    Disgraceful treatment of customers. Poor business management and ethics.
    There will be a whole plane full of people that this has caused major disruption to.

  2. I was due to fly from Syros to Athens on Sunday 16th June at 12pm. The flight was delayed due to technical problems and I missed my connection flight with Easyjet from Athens to Edinburgh which left Athens at 2:00pm. Please note that at the time I booked the flights, the Syros flight was due to leave at 11:30 and not at 12. I believe the flight was delayed by 4-5 hours, since I knew I had missed my connection flight and the next available flight to Edinburgh was on Thursday 20th June I did not board the plane.

    I had to make alternative arrangements for accommodation until Thursday and although it would have been far easier to re-schedule flights for Sunday (there are only a few hours waiting between flights and I would have reached my final destination, Inverness, at a reasonable time, which is very important when travelling with an infant!) I chose to fly on Thursday which meant 10 hours waiting, travelling through the night and finally reaching home at 4 in the morning. All this because I lost faith in Olympic Air flying on schedule!

    I tried contacting Customer Services via the online contact form but it does not seem to be working. The only contact email available online is for group reservations and although I understand it is not relevant I sent them the above email on the 21st June and kindly asked them to forward it to Customer services. They haven’t even acknowledged the receipt of my email… I am hoping that by posting a complaint on this consumerboard.org I will at least get a response.

  3. I am beyond frustrated! Tried twice last night to book a flight with Olympic Air. Both times it all went through, card verified etc – then came up “sorry ticket cannot be issued please contact our reservations dept” (in Greece) Got no booking reference or anything – no email etc. Money has been allocated but not charged yet on my credit card (twice).

    Every single solitary phone number listed for Olympic in UK is disconnected (including cargo and admin) and are probably for the old Olympic Airlines. Even staff at Heathrow (where Olympic fly from) gave me numbers within the airport that are disconnected! He then gave me the name and number for the station manager at Terminal 2 – guess what – disconnected – in fact the Heathrow Airport website states that Terminal 2 is closed until 2014! Do I have a reservation? No idea!

    Surely as they fly out of Heathrow they must have some representation in the UK – even if only an agent at the airport.

    I have emailed Olympic via their contact form twice and received only automatic replies acknowledging receipt of my message and still have no idea if my booking is in place or not. Ican only hope that the charge does not go through (twice) on my credit card as heavens knows how once goes about getting a refund!

  4. Dear Olympic Airlines,

    Our Flight from Santorini Airlines to Athens Airline was at 2:00 o’clock on the 10th of April to take our flight back from Athens to London and be back home in London to attend my Boyfriend Birthday Party at night in London

    The connection flight Between Santorini to Athens is 35min it took us 24h. You can’t imagine.

    The Odyssey Starts here:

    – Our flight is at 2:00 back to Athens
    – on Time of Boarding we went to the boarding doors, straight into the bus to the plane… after an hour in the plane waiting, we have been told that a technical problem happened and will be fixed in an hour. We have to leave the plane back to the airport and wait.
    – at 3:00 o’clock, the Technical problem remains
    – Learned that we missed our back flight to London from Athens
    – start the negotiations with Olympic Airlines
    – System is not connected to Athens flights system
    – the plane would depart from Athens to London at 7:15
    – Technical problem remains might be fixed at 6:30
    – by then no food no drinks
    – Everyone is in a panic, and everyone wants to be on the flight to Athens.
    – More passengers arrived from a big group of late boat trip ended up to transfer all of them to Santorini Airport to find a flight back to Athens
    – at 5:00 then announced vouchers for everyone..
    – Guess what, the food is limited to one toast (white bread) with Coke or Sprite no more. I can’t eat wite braed, that means no food for me at all. I have to buy my own food.
    – Nidaa, Max didn’t eat
    – Max is waiting and try to fix is in a trip back to Athens
    – Everyone in a big panic, and the crew too
    – at 6:30 people with the blue papers and boarding pass go back to the fixed plane
    – Now we are in the bus to the plane/ but we knew we can’t make it to the flight at 7:15 to London
    – we are in the Plane again
    – waiting, after one hour inside thinking what is going on
    – the number of the list doesn’t mush the number of the passengers
    – counting for hundred times
    – still one more in the plane.. we don’t know who
    – at 8:15 we left the airport in Santorini without knowing the problem.
    – in Athens Airport.. start running all of us to get ourself an accommodation or a flight back to London
    – Olympics offer, is a night in a hotel 20min far from the airport with a bus transportation but we have to wait
    – a group of 10 English speakers us among them went alone in a taxi back to the hotel they booked us in
    – Hotel is Horrible, Horrible… Horrible everything was dirty
    – It was Max Birthday yesterday, we thought a lunch in Santorini and a nice dinner in London.. both didn’t happen
    – Rooms are Horrible
    – We couldn’t sleep the whole night
    – My boyfriend Max, missed a very important meeting at his bank
    – Max missed his Birthday party in London

    This is my story with the Olympics Airlines on the 10th of April,

    We would like to have a full refund for our Tickets and a compensation to cover our lost two days of work in London. And a compensation for the lost Birthday party with all our friends which they were waiting in despair in London.

  5. I cannot find an email address for Olympic Air. I am trying to ask them to provide wheelchair support for one of my party. The form on their website will not work, as the options box for the subject line is not working. I have tried the email address listed on your site but that does not work either.
